Scope

This part specifies the technical requirements for raw materials, manufacturing, testing, inspection, dimensions, deviations and weight of grade 1, 2 and 3 austenitic stainless steel butt welded seamless pipe fittings for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This section applies to grade 1, 2 and 3 austenitic stainless steel butt welded seamless pipe fittings with nominal wall thickness not greater than 50mm in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This section does not apply to forged elbows used in reactor coolant piping systems of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants.
