This standard specifies additional tests for verifying the stability of counterbalanced forklifts handling freight containers of 6 m or more in length. This standard specifies additional tests other than those listed in GB/T 5141. The stability tests specified in this standard are intended to ensure that counterbalanced forklifts for handling freight containers have sufficient stability for reasonable and proper use under the following conditions. a) Forklifts operate under the condition that the wind speed does not exceed 12.2m/s (Beaufort wind scale 6) (operating and stacking freight containers at the specified operating height); b) When the wind speed exceeds 12.2m/s, the wind force should be within Substituting the value of wind speed v into the formulas (1) and (2) in 3.5.3 to calculate; c) The forklift runs forward, the freight container is front and lifted until its bottom surface is higher than the maximum compression point on the driver’s seat cushion and The distance is not more than 1m, and the mast is fully tilted backward. Stability tests that meet the conditions described in a) or b) above apply to all forklifts. Stability tests that meet the conditions described in c) above are only applicable to forklifts that require partial lifting of the container during operation. This standard does not apply to forklifts used under the following conditions: - Handling suspended loads that can swing freely; - Handling containers with a movable center of gravity (see GB/T 17382).
