Scope
This part of GB/T 5158 specifies the method for the determination of hydrogen-reducible oxygen content in metal powders. The oxygen content ranges from 0.05% to 3% (mass fraction). This standard applies to mixtures of various metals, partially alloyed or fully alloyed metal powders, carbides (tungsten carbide) and binder metals. This method is not suitable for powders containing lubricants or organic binders. This standard is also applicable to carbon-containing powders produced in special catalytic devices.
