- This standard is formulated in order to scientifically and rationally unify the commonly used terms and definitions of textile engineering construction, standardize measurement units and symbols, realize the standardization of professional terms, and meet the needs of textile engineering technology development and foreign exchange. This standard applies to the design, construction, acceptance and maintenance management of cotton textile engineering, wool textile engineering, linen textile engineering, silk textile engineering, knitting engineering, chemical fiber engineering, non-woven fabric engineering, printing and dyeing engineering, and garment engineering. In addition to the provisions of this standard, the commonly used terms, units of measurement and symbols of textile engineering should also comply with the provisions of the relevant current national standards.
