Scope
This standard describes the free mechanical impedance of the driving point of the male human arm system. The value of free impedance represented by mode and phase is given according to the directions of three orthogonal translation excitations, and the excitation directions are the same as xh, y of the basic center coordinate system of the hand specified in GB/T 14790 and ISO 8727 The h and zh axes coincide. xh, yh, and zh components of free impedance as a function of frequency in the frequency range from 10 Hz to 500 Hz, corresponding to specific arm posture, grip and propulsion forces, The diameter of the handle and the strength of the excitation are given separately. The free impedance components in the three directions are considered to exist independently (see Appendix F). This standard can be used to determine the typical value of the free mechanical impedance of the arm system at the actuation point, and these data are suitable for males under specific conditions. For each impedance component, free impedance was determined using three values at each frequency to reflect the range of measurements made on male arms. The upper and lower values define the range of most likely impedance values, and the middle value represents the overall average of the human body data, thus defining the target value for the overall application. This standard is temporarily applicable to women. Reference values for the free mechanical impedance of the actuation point relative to specified grip and propulsion forces as a function of frequency are given in Appendix A. These impedance values are used to determine the vibration transmissibility of the elastic material when the arm system is loaded. Mathematical expressions for the arm system used to model free impedance values are also given in Appendices C to E.
