- Scope
- This standard specifies the basic performance characteristics of readers for black and white microfilm and strip film with a magnification ratio not exceeding 50:1 and a film width not exceeding 35 mm. This standard also specifies the essential performance characteristics of readers suitable for microfiche, jackets and video cards. This standard applies to readers using 16mm, 35mm, microfiche, envelopes and image cards. This standard does not apply to reading copiers and pocket readers.
