Scope
This standard specifies the methods and defect assessment requirements for ultrasonic testing using the diffraction time difference method for welded joints of metal structures and equipment in hydropower and water conservancy projects. This standard is applicable to the diffraction time difference ultrasonic testing of non-alloy steel, low alloy steel and alloy steel butt welded joints for engineering structures with a base metal thickness of 12 mm to 400 mm. Other types of metal materials can be implemented by reference.
