Scope

1.1 This standard is suitable for measuring the tendency of grease to separate oil at high temperatures. Unless the grease specification requires other test conditions, the test conditions of this standard are temperature 100°C and time 30h. 1.2 This standard does not apply to grease products with a taper penetration greater than 340 (1/10mm). 1.3 This standard uses International System of Units [SI] units. 1.4 This standard may involve certain hazardous materials, operations and equipment, but it does not make recommendations on all safety is ues related to them. Therefore, users should establis appropriate safety and protective measures and determine the applicability of relevant regulatory restrictions before using this standard.
