Scope: This specification is formulated for the purpose of scientifically and rationally planning urban road intersections, making full use of the space-time resources of intersections, and realizing traffic safety and accessibility of pedestrian and vehicle flows at intersections. This specification applies to the corresponding road intersection planning at each stage of urban planning, as well as the special planning for new construction, reconstruction and traffic management of urban road level intersections or three-dimensional intersections. The planning of urban road intersections should adhere to the principles of scientific development and adaptation to local conditions, and meet the requirements of ensuring safety, ensuring efficiency, protecting the environment, and saving land resources. The planning of urban road intersections shall not only comply with this specification, but also comply with the provisions of the relevant current national standards.
