- This standard specifies the security threats, security requirements, security mechanisms and security algorithms, equipment certification certificate profiles and security functions of broadband customer networks based on public telecommunications networks. This standard is applicable to the situation where the services and applications provided by the telecommunications network are implemented within the broadband customer network through the gateway. It can also be used as a reference for the situation where information flows only between devices within the broadband customer network.
