Scope

This standard specifies a test method for determining the air content of fresh concrete by reducing the pressure in an air chamber ()(). Note () This test method is appropriate for concrete using ordinary aggregate with a bulk dimension of 40 mm or less, but it is suitable for concrete using ordinary aggregate with a bulk dimension of 40 mm or less, but for concrete with porous materials such as artificial lightweight aggregate where the aggregate modification coefficient cannot be accurately determined. Not suitable for concrete using aggregate. () For the water column pressure method, refer to Annex 1 (normative).
