Scope

This standard stipulates the type approval application, type approval test method and emission limit value, production consistency inspection method and emission limit value of crankcase pollutant emission of heavy-duty vehicles equipped with ignition engines. This standard applies to heavy-duty vehicles equipped with ignition engines. The engines to be tested shall include those for which anti-leakage measures have been taken, but not those engines whose structure, even if there is a small amount of leakage, will cause abnormal operation (such as horizontally opposed engines).
