- This standard specifies the conversion method of kinematic viscosity (mm/s) of petroleum and petroleum products at any temperature to Saybolt Universal Viscosity (SUS) at the corresponding temperature using tables and equations. The kinematic viscosity value is based on the kinematic viscosity value of water at 20°C, 1.0034mm/s. This standard applies to interchange calculations between Saybolt Universal Viscosity (SUS) and the International System of Kinematic Viscosity Units. In this standard, the kinematic viscosity adopts the international unit system mm/s, and the temperature is ℉.
