This part of BS 8204 gives recommendations for the design and
installation of in situ synthetic resin flooring, based on liquid synthetic
resin binders in which curing takes place by chemical reaction of the
resin components, used internally in buildings. The synthetic resin
floorings are bonded to direct finished concrete slabs,
polymer-modified cementitious or fine concrete screeds and to existing
concrete floors.
Annex A gives recommendations for the design and installation of resin
terrazzo flooring.
Synthetic resin floorings applied to other materials such as timber or
metal are not covered by this code of practice.
The installation of resilient sports surfacings based on synthetic resins
is not covered by this code of practice.
