Scope
This part specifies the procedures, methods and information units (messages, parameters, indicators, header fields, etc.) involved in BICC and SIP interoperability. Procedures, methods and information units that have local significance (for example, are only relevant to a single signaling system, such as SIP or BICC) are outside the scope of this standard. This section applies to the interworking of the bearer-independent call control (BICC) protocol and the unified IMS network SIP protocol.
