Scope

This standard applies to electromagnetic clutches and electromagnetic brakes (hereinafter referred to as clutches and electromagnetic brakes) that transmit, cut off, or brake torque from one of two axes in a straight line to the other, or from the driving side to the driven side on a concentric axis. (referred to as brake).
