The ITU Radiocommunication Assembly considering a)that fixed-satellite and mobile-satellite systems may be part of the Next Generation Network (NGN);b)that an overview of the NGN is given in ITU-T Recommendations Y.2001 and Y.2011;c)that availability and performance criteria for transmission of NGN services and applications may have an impact on satellite link design.
