Scope: This standard specifies the sequence of 27,533 characters in double-byte coded Chinese characters and Chinese character components, and four-byte coded parts of Chinese characters (8139EE39~82358738) in GB 18030-2005, including radical order and stroke order. This standard is applicable to the sorting of data items, file names, person names, place names, bibliographies, and customer and product catalogs in large data warehouses of text information processing software or database software. This standard is also applicable to the sorting (radical and pen order) of corresponding Chinese characters in the Chinese character coded character set.
