- This standard specifies the performance requirements for (non-resistive) ballasts used with tubular preheated cathode fluorescent lamps using 50Hz or 60Hz AC power below 1000V. The fluorescent lamps used can work with or without starters or starting devices. , The rated power, size and characteristics of the lamp shall comply with the provisions of IEC 60081 and IEC 60901. This standard applies to complete ballasts and their components, such as resistors, transformers and capacitors. This standard should be used together with GB 19510.9. This standard does not include AC electronic ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps with high operating costs specified in GB 19510.4.
