- This standard specifies the layout of the alphanumeric area on the keyboard in GB 1988-80 "Seven-bit Coded Character Set for Information Processing and Interchange". The standard also stipulates the pairing relationship of characters, and assigns characters to each key position. Considering the characters corresponding to the bit group and the group, the matching rule is mainly based on the principle of binary conversion. For example: for graphic characters, the characters in columns 2, 4, and 5 in the code table are paired with the corresponding characters in columns 3, 6, and 7 on the same row, respectively. The layout of the alphanumeric area of the keyboard, indicating only the relative position of the keys. The key numbers marked in the layout diagram are for reference only. This standard applies to keyboard devices equipped with information processing and switching equipment.
