- This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and other requirements of carbon dioxide laser therapy machines. This standard applies to medical laser treatment machines (hereinafter referred to as treatment machines) that use fully enclosed visceral continuous wave carbon dioxide lasers of various specifications with a total length of not more than 2m. The treatment machine is mainly used for vaporization, carbonization, coagulation and irradiation of human tissues to achieve the purpose of treatment. This standard does not apply to laser therapy machines using radio frequency excitation and waveguide lasers.
