- This standard specifies various built-in safety measures to prevent accidental start-up of the machine so that personnel can safely enter the danger zone (see Appendix A). This standard applies to accidental starting caused by various energy sources. These energy sources are: - power source, such as electric, hydraulic, pneumatic power source; stored energy, such as gravity, stored energy caused by compressed spring; - external factor, such as wind force.
