Scope: This standard applies to instruments that measure A-weighted sound exposure to steady-state, intermittent, fluctuating, irregular or impulsive sounds. Instruments conforming to the specifications of this standard are intended to be worn on the human body to measure sound exposure. The measurement of sound exposure in the workplace may be useful for determining occupational noise exposure according to GB/T 14366 and GB/T 21230.
