Scope

This part of GB/T 25498 specifies the structure and characteristics of an acoustic coupler with a certain acoustic impedance loaded with an in-ear side-listening earphone in the calibration of an audiometer. The frequency range is 125Hz to 8000Hz. specified in T 4854.1. The sound pressure level produced by headphones in the coupler is generally not equal to the sound pressure level produced in the human ear. However, for the interchangeability of audiometer indicators and the calibration of audiometric earphones, the devices specified in this standard are suitable for simple and rapid methods.
