Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, marks, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of lockable gas springs (hereinafter referred to as gas springs). This standard is applicable to the angle-adjustable lockable gas springs with nitrogen or other inert gas as the energy storage working medium and other forms of lockable gas springs except seat lift lockable gas springs. Seat lift lockable gas springs are not applicable to this standard.
