Scope: This standard specifies the characteristics, functions, structures, materials and electrical installations of marine electric windshield wipers. This standard is applicable to wiper devices installed on bridges of sea-going ships for periodic maintenance, and whose functions, materials and electrical devices comply with the provisions of ISO 8468.
