Scope
This standard specifies the analytical method for determining the content of clay minerals and common non-clay minerals in sedimentary rocks using X-ray diffraction (XRD) technology and the quality requirements for the analysis results. This standard applies to clay minerals and quartz, calcite, dolomite, ankerite, siderite, anhydrite, gypsum, anhydrous mirabilite, barite, pyrite, halite, plagioclase, potassium feldspar in sedimentary rocks. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of common non-clay minerals such as limestone, glauberite, zeolite and analcime.
