Scope

This standard establis es the basic principles for the functional design of the alarm system in the main control room of a nuclear power plant. This standard applies to the design of alarm functions and alarm dis lays in the main control room of nuclear power plants. This standard does not apply to the design of specific alarm systems such as nuclear power plant fire alarm systems and safety alarm systems.
