This standard specifies the design requirements for steel structures related to nuclear safety of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This standard is applicable to the design of steel structures related to nuclear safety in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, and other nuclear facilities can refer to it for implementation. This standard does not apply to components that maintain pressure in nuclear facilities, such as containment steel linings, pressure vessels, valves, pumps, pipes and supports and hangers. It also does not include steel structures in steel-concrete composite structures.
