Scope

This Recommendation describes a method of conveying start-stop characters over synchronous bearer channels using an async-to-syncconverter in the data signalling raterange of up to 19200 bids. Start-stop charactersat signalling rates below or equal to 300 bids can be conveyed over synchronous bearer channels by oversampling at a signaiiingrate of at least 1200 bids.
