Scope

The date (02/98) indicated on the cover of V.251 under the Recommendation number refers to the date when it was renumbered. It should be replaced by (08/1996), which corresponds to the date when this text was approved as V.25 ter Annex A, before being renumbered and republished as V.251 without further modification.
