- This standard specifies the general requirements for the design, capture and description of metadata in the entire process of the formation, exchange, archiving, transfer, storage and utilization of clerical electronic documents, targeting documents and archives. This standard applies to the management of document-type electronic files (including paper documents/archival digital images and texts) directly generated in computer systems by archives at all levels, agencies, groups, enterprises, institutions and other social organizations.
