- This standard specifies the terminology, symbols and coordinate system definitions of air springs for railway vehicles, product characteristics requirements, inspection and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, etc. This standard does not describe the air duct air supply system, control valves, additional air chambers and other components that affect the performance of the air spring. This standard applies to new air springs for railway passenger cars and EMUs, and can be used as a reference for air springs used in other rail vehicles such as subways, monorails, urban rails, and maglevs.
