- Scope
- This part of NB/T 47003 specifies the requirements for the design, manufacturing, inspection and acceptance of solid silos. This section is applicable to steel or aluminum welded vertical cylindrical silos that store solid loose materials with a volume greater than 15m, a design pressure greater than -500Pa and less than 0.1MPa, and a design temperature that is the allowable use temperature of the silo shell material. Silos that exceed the above parameter range can also be designed and manufactured with reference to this section. This section does not apply to the following types of silos: silos directly buried underground; silos containing extremely or highly toxic media; hoppers that are frequently transported; hoppers with a volume less than or equal to 15m.
