Scope

Group 3 facsimile machines were developed for sending digitized documents over the General Switched Telephone Network (GSTN). These facsimile terminals are now in widespread use around the world. The operation of Group 3 facsimile terminals has been standardized in Recommendations T.4, T.6 and T.30.
