Scope
This series of standards defines qualification and quality requirements for welding manufacturers undertaking new build and repair work in the rail vehicle sector. This series of standards thus links performance requirements during the design process, good quality welds achieved during production, and satisfactory quality as demonstrated by inspection. This series of standards applies to the welding of metal materials in the manufacturing and maintenance of rail vehicles and their components. This part of GB/T 25343 gives general recommendations and definitions of related terms for the welding of rail vehicles and their components. Except for the special terms stipulated in the contract, this part applies to all welding methods, including manual welding, semi-automatic welding, fully mechanized welding or fully automatic welding defined in GB/T 5185. This section applies to the welding of steel and aluminum alloys, including welding of castings. This series of standards does not involve product certification. This series of standards does not apply to equipment parts with special provisions, such as pressure vessels.
