The ITU Radiocommunication Assembly considering: a) that the evaluation of images on film for their use in television involves a subjective assessment process where the assessor is affected by the viewing condition; b) that the conversion of images from film to television often needs extensive correction for system adaptation; c) that the viewing condition will affect the operator’s visual adaptation and thus influence the transfer of film images to video; d) that subjective assessment and image correction should be carried out on a properly aligned television monitor.
