Scope

This standard specifies extracorporeal circulation hard shell intracardiac/venous blood reservoir systems and soft bag venous blood reservoirs (hereinafter referred to as cardiopulmonary circuit blood storage systems) for use as sterile, single-use blood reservoirs during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery. (referred to as a tank).
