Scope

This standard specifies two test methods for measuring the field of view available to a seated operator from rearview mirrors and auxiliary mirrors. This standard is applicable to self-propelled, wheel-type and track-type earthmoving machines (hereinafter referred to as "machines") defined in JIS A 8308 that are used on public roads and off-roads. Remarks I. Japanese regulations may be additionally applied to machines running on public roads.
