This standard specifies the performance standards for the field of view of rear view mirrors and auxiliary mirrors installed on earthmoving machines (hereinafter referred to as machines). This standard is applicable to self-propelled wheeled and tracked earth-moving machines with a seated operator as defined in JIS A 8308 for use on public roads and off-roads. Note: Japanese regulations may be additionally applied to machines running on public roads.
