Scope: This standard specifies the basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and packaging, transportation and storage of torque balances. This standard is applicable to the torsion balance (hereinafter referred to as the balance) whose main structure is composed of a single-arm lever and two kinds of elastic elements, flat coil spring and leaf spring, and relies on the balance torsion generated by the elastic deflection angle for measurement.
