The ITU Radiocommunication Assembly, considering that television programmes can be produced for release on a variety of media;that end-user television installations can desirably be conceived to use programmes delivered through a variety of media; that the same concept applies to audio programmes and audio end-user installations; that there is a need to ensure harmonization of standards between programme generation and programme presentation; that the terms of the ITU-R cooperation with the IEC and the IS0 are described in Opinion 16 and Resolution ITU-R 41.
