Scope

This British Standard provides a classification of covering fabric for domestic and contract upholstery applications. This standard does not include within its scope plastics coated fabrics where the coating is the wear surface, fabrics intended solely for loose covers, leather, fabrics for transport applications and fabrics with a nominal pile length of five millimetres or more.
