- This part of YY/T 0727 specifies metal medical devices used for temporary fixation in long bone marrow by surgical implantation. The classification, size instructions and other requirements of intramedullary nail insertion and removal instruments are given, and the method of measuring the diameter of the medullary cavity expander is also given. This section applies to all metal intramedullary fixation devices used for temporary fixation of human long bones. This section does not apply to the twist joint portion of the locking component.
