Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging, accompanying technical documents, etc. of ultrasonic hardness testers. This standard applies to ultrasonic hardness testers (hereinafter referred to as hardness testers) used to measure the Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers hardness of metallic materials according to the ultrasonic contact impedance method.
