The supplementary service of reverse charging (REV, reverse charging) allows a calling user, when establishing a communication, considered in isolation, to request reverse charging for it, and the called user to accept or reject being charged for it. If the calling user does not expressly request reverse charging, the amount will be charged in the normal manner. In order to use this service, the originating terminal must be able to request reverse charging.
