Scope

This standard specifies the definition, functional structure, functional requirements, performance requirements, protocol security requirements, physical interface requirements, reliability and environmental requirements of time synchronization equipment. This standard applies to independent time synchronization equipment that provides time synchronization services for various communication equipment. Some performance requirements also apply to time synchronization function modules that are attached to other communication equipment and need to be used for time distribution.
