Scope: This standard specifies the basic protection for the management of medical radioactive waste, the sanitary management requirements for liquid waste, solid waste, airborne waste, and corpses containing radionuclides, and the waste management system. This standard applies to the management of medical radioactive waste that contains radionuclides or is contaminated by radionuclides and is no longer used in medical practice. This standard does not apply to the management of sealed radioactive sources and particle sources that are discarded after medical applications.
