Scope
This standard specifies the gas chromatographic determination method for the content of allicin thioether compounds (diallyl tris lfide, diallyl dis lfide) in garlic and its products (garlic powder, garlic slices, garlic oil). This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of allicin-like sulfide compounds such as diallyl tris lfide (DATS) and diallyl dis lfide (DADS) in garlic and its products (garlic powder, garlic slices, garlic oil). The detection limit of this standard method is 0.9 mg/kg for DATS; 0.5 mg/kg for DADS. The detection linear range of this standard method is DATS: 3.5 mg/L~3 500 mg/L; DADS: 2.0 mg/L~2 000 mg/L.
