Scope

This standard specifies the qualitative detection method and closest approximation (MPN) counting method for Vibrio parahaemolyticus in imported and exported foods. This standard is applicable to the inspection of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in food. The inspection of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in environmental samples from animal feed and other food production and processing areas can be used as a reference.
